Buddy came to us as an owner surrender in 2019. He is an 8 year old Shih Tzu / Lassa mix and (once we got under his overgrown coat) is a beautiful and distinctive looking guy. He has a chronic environmental allergy that requires special treatment monthly. His pads were in bad shape from being left out in the Florida heat 24 hours a day. His personality was tough and hard at first because he didn't trust anyone.
After being with us for a month Buddy began to change. His big heart became apparent, especially for his new Foster mom. It wasn't long until he adopted her and began being always at her side. Now he has shown extreme loyalty to her and he has softened his stance to everyone else. He plays daily and really enjoys all activities and especially foster puppies that come to us from time to time.
